The “Yellow Wheelbarrow Club” is finally born! I invite you to participate! These are regular informal gatherings of plant enthusiasts.
This is not a landscaping course, it is not a training where everything is thought out and organised.
The “Yellow Wheelbarrow Club” is a community where everyone can share their experiences, everyone can ask questions, everyone can organize a visit or invite to your farm to admire peonies.
How to access – Click here.
What club members do:
- Organize and participate in excursions on relevant topics (gardens, plants)
- Organizes and participates in various training courses
- They organize trips to visit each other
- Shares advice, useful contacts and relevant information
- If you want, lend your gardening books to others to read
- Shares surplus plants
- Organize and participate in taluks (planting and pruning trees, planting plants, etc.)
- Join discussions in a closed Facebook group
- Host live and virtual club events and meetings
- Gains access to a closed Facebook group
- You make new acquaintances – maybe you haven’t noticed that there is a person nearby who is also crazy about plants?!
If you feel the desire to communicate with people who care about landscaping, trends, garden ideas, nuances of growing plants, garden issues, we will wait for you in this club.
We accept both professionals and people with no experience. We accept both those who have completed the “Yellow Wheelbarrow” courses and those who have never attended them.
Clubs in Lithuania by city
We can propose more activities: it just depends on your initiative. And you will definitely need it! We already have a group of people who have taken the trouble to coordinate the activities in Vilnius, enthusiasts from Kaunas have already agreed on the outgoing training on pruning fruit trees and Panevėžys has decided that at the first meeting one club member will present spring flowers and another will tell his experience on recently built pergolas (here is a photo of Panevėžys’ meeting – best wishes!).
We invite you to contribute from other cities, to create your own local groups of like-minded people: we will help move the ice, if there is desire and initiative. Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Alytus and other cities – are there gardeners who want to show initiative and bring like-minded people together?
Who organizes club activities
I, Lina Liubertaitė, the founder of the “Yellow Wheelbarrow”, only play the role of spark – and all together we will light the fire! Here nothing is put on a plate: we will all create this club together, we will think about its activities together, we will organize meetings together and propose topics for conversation.
Only in this way can we bring together a strong community of plant enthusiasts, where it would be nice to spend time and talk about plants.

Who needs an application and membership fee? It’s like a symbolic barrier, so that someone “from the street” doesn’t come to the club meetings, but only those who really care. The tax is paid to the MB account “Geltonas karutis” specially opened for the club (VAT invoices are issued). This tax includes 21%. VAT, payment of accounting services and administrative costs.
Will I still have to pay extra somewhere? We try to make meetings as simple as possible, using our resources: in the rooms we have and with the meals we want to bring. But some meetings can be paid, for example, for entrance to the botanical garden, for coffee if you order it in a cafe, for training conducted by a specialist, etc.
For how long is the registration valid? The subscription is valid until January 31st. Therefore, previously registered members can renew their membership at any time until the end of January (if it is not renewed after that, you can join the club as a new member at any time).
